Futurehome Charge

EV Charger Product Videos

With this project, we were approached by the client months before the product launch.
The client had already decided on his desired deliverables. The package included:

  • 2 product videos (30s and 120s)

  • 150 product photos

  • an installer video

  • an explainer video for the end customer

We worked with a set budget agreed upon signing the deal. Our job was to come up with a concept for the main product video, as well as to prepare the installer video and user video scripts working with the client’s product, marketing and tech teams.

Let’s get to know each other

In the concept, we’ve highlighted the client’s values and distinguished Futurehome from competing brands which focused more or technology and presented their products in a "cold and robotic" way. Our core values and emotions were: safety, ease of use, warmth and harmony with nature.

Before the shooting we’ve organized a several-day recce on location in Norway, combined with a creative workshop at the client’s office. During the workshop we were able to better understand the product and present our ideas for the execution of the videos.

Understanding the product

Later in the preproduction process, we met once again to conduct a “rehearsal” for the installer video, as the final result had to be easy to understand and accurate. This allowed us to avoid technical mistakes on set. As the product was still in development, we were happy to discover that rehearsing the installation process has also provided some valuable input for the client’s design team.

How we organised a film set in Norway?

We decided to fit all shooting in a 5-day window and gathered a small multifunctional film crew. The set was run fully in English.

For the product video, we wanted to cast a real-life family. This allowed us to spark some true emotions between the actors and made the whole work smoother.

For the installer video, we decided to do on-set editing. The client’s tech team could watch the edit live and make suggestions along the way. This helped us make sure that the whole installation process is portrayed with attention to detail and safety.

The deliverables included 2 language versions - English and Norwegian. Both voice-over recording sessions were conducted remotely at studios in Oslo and Cracow.

Last-minute name change

Initially the product operated under a different name. The need to change it, came up only after delivering the final files. We had to act fast. Over the course of a week, we prepared new voice-over recordings, animations and made the necessary retouching, removing the outdated logo.
